Loving the Least

Why try to raise awareness for children, especially for those that are not our own? I think that it displays the gospel in a way that nothing else can. Children are so vulnerable to begin with, but what about orphans and those that society considers outcasts? The Father's heart is full of love for these precious children and we, to show Christ to the world, are called to love and to help them in any way possible.

Here are a few verses for thought:

John 1:12-
But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.

Romans 8:14-16-
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

Galatians 4:4-6-
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”

James 1:27-
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Matthew 18:5-
“Whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me."

John 11:52-
And not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

1 John 3:1-2-
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

For His Glory,
Charity
